I am beginning to experiment with bones in my game work. But it is really slowing me down that I cannot SEE the little buggers when I run the game! Is there some easy way I can make bones in-game-visible?
Not that I know of, but as long as your mesh is parented correctly to the armature, you’ll know where the bones are.
I need to see the bones bend. A parented mesh simply follows the armature object data (overall location, rotation, scale).
unless a vertex is influenced by multiple bones, it will follow a bone exactly.
since, unfortunately, parent-to-bone doesn’t work (in the more recent versions of blender, at least) there’s not much more interaction you can get with a bone, so just make a simple box man, with a cube for each bone. parent it, assign vertexes to groups, and you’re set.
