When I put a blueprint of a real car in background all my computer slow down and it is very difficult to work with this lag. Is it normal or is there are way to put the image without this lag? Thank you.
UVmap a plane instead of using the background image.
Yeah, definitely UV map the image to a plane and then use “ALT+Z” to show the texture on you plane while in the viewport. It still slows down a bit, but it is definitley better than placing the image in the backbuff.
alt+z doesn’t always upto your expectations.you may want to see the background pic in the wireframe mode.so if you use backbuff keep the original image size under 400*400 pixels.
since you can turn on wireframe for any object seperately, this should not be the biggest problem
