making floating island from mountain, how to flip over and fill in the mesh?

hi, i just created a simple mountain range using ant landscape. i trimmed off the vertices at ground level to create an irregular outline shape, then i rotated it vertically by 180 degs, so now i have the base part of a Rodger Dean album cover style floating island.

the problem is, there is no ground. how would i fill in the mesh along the outer perimeter to form a solid ground?

please tell my exactly what to do if you don’t mind, i’m very new to blender and know only a couple of commands

thanks, steve

You can’t expect help if you don’t upload images and .blend file of the issue you’re having. Keep in mind that we don’t do guess work here. Upload the things I’ve mentioned and we’ll gladly swarm in to help you.
