making hair particles into a mesh

I converted the hair into a mesh but it wont render now. Im using blender render. The hairs are just strings of vertices and wont show up in the render. What can i do?

This is kind of kooky, but you could change its Material to “Wire” rendering.

I’m going to subscribe to this thread so I can see if anyone comes up with a better solution.

You could use an object for the render type, like a simple cone. However, it doesn’t look like there’s any way to get the object to bend like the normal hair path does.

What worked (sort of) was to select all the hairs and extrude them a little. Changing them into lil planes. Doesn’t look as good but at least visible.
