making it realistic?

Hi, I need to make this mailbox as realistic as possible… Sugestions?

OK, some suggestions:

  1. Bevel all hard edges, (W key then select Bevel from the menu).
  2. Press Subsurf on the mesh after you do the bevel and then press Set Smooth in the options in EDIT menu (F9).
  3. When you render, press the OSA button in the render options. Makes it look less jaggie.
  4. Do a proper texturing job. THis will be the key to making ti look real. Do not use procedurals. Paint your own textures in PS or GIMP and then UV map them to the object.
