I need a picture for my film TERMINARIUM about the clone soldiers’ ancestor/patriarch as an old man. Nowadays there are many filters and AIs that could do the job of aging my portrait, but as I’m not a big fan of them, I wanted to try and do it all manually. The old school way. I had a model of myself ready, so I just posed it in front of a camera in Blender to match the picture I had taken of myself. It required only some minor tweaking of vertices to match the picture, because I had done the original model of myself pretty well. Then I projected the image to the model, and used a CC0 picture of an old man that I found in Pexels, by projecting another uv to it and correcting it manually to match better my own facial features. Then I mixed it with my self portrait with multiply, did some manual tweaking via vertex colors, adjusted the rgb curves and got the texture. Later I applied the subsurf modifier and made some inflating of the face to get the look of an old person to be more obvious. The textures require some correcting still. Also the clothing is still not finished.

Well, I hate to say this, but … it happens faster than you think! ![]()

This is really impressive! The idea of using the old man picture is really smart. ![]()
