making skin "bumps" and how to "color hair"

kk…im trying to make a guy and his skin is too…“drawn” i was wondeiring how to make it bumpier and more humanish…also how do u color hair???

none of it makes sense to me…(bump/normal maps thing)

Here is a simply sphere with no bump:


Here is a simple Bump map painted in Blender. The Black spots will be the low spots on your mesh. The white are the high spots.


Here is where you load the Bump map in Blender:


Here is the Material settings for the Image texture you just loaded:

and heres after…no difference(except for specularity which i changed.and the hair became more “soft”.)…also do u no how to change the hair color?
