Looking for feedback on my modelling and texture painting work. I tried to draw shadows to add some depth to the model.
I have some doubts about the proportions of the body. Specifically the legs, they seem too far apart and strangely curved outward.
Also, the torso seems really long and the legs short. This ratio of legs to torso might not be impossible, but it looks to me like it’s on the limits of what’s plausible.
Have you used references for proportions? It’s always useful to import a front view image of a human inside Blender to compare the model with.
This is the reference I used.
The proportions don’t line up.
Did you make the model by eye? When making a character from an image, you should import the front view on a plane so you can be sure the proportions match.
Also, I will note that the character in the concept art has spread legs. Your model looks like you couldn’t decide if the legs are spread or not. The knee shouldn’t be bent sideways, when a leg is spread sideways, it remains in a straight line compared with itself and the whole leg is at the same angle together.
The legs do look a bit bent in the drawing, but that’s because the character is posed and drawn with perspective. A non-posed 3D model with straight legs shouldn’t have the knees looking like this.
The arms are a little too short. Measure the distance from the shoulder joint to the fingers in the reference and your model. There is a difference (1 : 0.85)
I would also increase the roughness value of the cloth. It looks too shiny to me.
