manipulator widget disappearing, even with ctrl+space hotkey?

Hi – see the images to understand what I’m experiencing. I’m afraid I might be going crazy. Or I found a bug, but can’t figure out how it’s happening (though it’s happening all the time). I use the ctrl+space hotkey all the time when working with meshes. That would toggle the manipulator from this:


to this:


and vice-versa.

But every once in a while the transform widget doesn’t show up with ctrl+space. When I look at the bottom of the 3D window, all the options have been disabled:


I know I’m not clicking that option off manually, but it keeps happening. I’ll manually click the transform arrow back on, then do some more mesh editing for a while, and it goes off again. Anyone know why this is happening? Is there a hotkey I’m accidentally triggering? Is this happening to anyone else?

Happens a lot here too. If we know how it exactly happens, we can do a proper bug report. No luck so far.

Good to hear a confirmation. I feel like it happens somewhere when I’m switching between vertices/edges/faces selection modes and enabling/disabling the widget. But these hotkeys are so automatic that I miss the moment when it happens. Please let me know if you can isolate the problem.
