I didn’t want to post this in either finished or works in progress, but there’s no “I may or may not continue with this” category. Anyhoo, it’s an old scene I threw together, and during a “Let’s see what I can do with old scenes” session, I simply tweaked the lighting and rendered. It struck me that the guy was mansplainig something to the woman, and she was clearly annoyed about it, so figured I’d share.
I see the man’s face quire clearly, but it seems to me that her face is obscured by hair. I like the setting and everything else, but her face needs a little more work. It should be: “just as clean as his.”
Also, tiny details: it honestly looks like she’s putting her leg into (!) that drink-glass! Reposition it … Maybe a light on the table to help more-clearly separate it from the characters’ legs.
You’re right. I’ve combed her hair back. Also more tweaks on the lighting. I’ve dumped the rear sun, since it didn’t seem to contribute, well, anything really, and rather than a point light in the overhead light, I found an emission shader setup on blendswap which seems to me to be more realistic. I can get away with the overhead light since around the room per the background HDRI would be in a lot of shadow anyway.
I didn’t see it with the leg and glass, but moved the glass anyway to avoid any ambiguity.
She still looks less than happy about his mansplaining, though.
