BA is, of course, only one of many “specialized forums.” It is also one of the very best.
To me, a key aspect of “forums” is the compartmentalization. Subforums focus on particular areas, so you can browse (only) the ones of particular interest to you, and post your question very specifically. Traditional “social media” sites have no taxonomy at all. Literally within a matter of a few minutes, your post “disappears.” Poof! So, a useless venue for asking questions.
“Asking questions,” and then “getting good answers,” is really a key reason why I use the Internet so much. I take, and try to give back.
Remember Artstation AI controversary over a year ago. Cara App is like a clone of artstation but AI art is not allowed there. So many people shifted from artstation to Cara. but it was not popular much at that time. during recent controversary surrounding instagram. Cara App has announced . Within a week they got like 100k New accounts and their system were froze down. Cara app is a clone of Artstation and it is in Beta. but without any AI generated art
Seriously, do you expect something else?
There’s no reason - and there has never been - to trust them, their business model is built around using data users provide.
At least they are honest enough to announce their intent publicly this time.
Apparently Adobe is doing it now, too, which is especially a problem since Adobe software like Photoshop and Substance Painter is used by large studios with extremely secretive NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) to avoid in-development movies, shows or video games from leaking to the public early. One of the latest Windows 11 updates adds a feature called “Recall” which, on one hand, seems like a good official and automated way to back up a computer’s data (especially for less computer-literate users like our parents), but on the other hand is raising massive privacy concerns since it works by taking “snapshots” of everything we do on computers equipped with Windows and sends all that data to Microsoft, again personal data they could just sell or use to train their AI or other far more sinister needs than just backing up our data for us.
I’m confident lawsuits will follow these latest decisions from Big Tech, especially in the United States since this may be the most blatant affront to our Fourth Amendment Rights against “search and seizure” since British soldiers in the Revolutionary War raided innocent people’s houses. But it is extremely concerning that companies that make the software that the modern workplace depends on, like Microsoft Office or the Adobe Suite, feel so emboldened to abuse their captive audiences’ last shred of privacy and use spyware-esque tactics that would set off alarm bells on my antivirus software if it came from anywhere else besides Meta, Microsoft, or Google.

Here I thought I was being original—creating a street fighter style animation with Mark vs Elon Musk and in order to cheat…Mark drinks a “witch’s brew” formula evilolving him into his ultimate mutative state…a creepy lizzed-freak with devil horns (have to add the horns)!!!
Mark lets out a "deep evil laugh” pointing at Elon (imagining Elon has no chance now)
…but suddenly you see a floating large head of Bruce Lee’s face semi-transparent saying “Use the Sink, Use the Sink!” (which is a play on Elon’s first day at Twitter/X…funny but most people won’t get the joke)
Elon effortlessly pulls the sink out of his pocket (because thats normal) and it shows Bruce Lee and Elon becoming one and doing a semi-slo-mo summersault in the air slamming the sink onto Marks head (the sink becoming a 300 mega-ton nuclear bomb) sending Mark through the earths core, then popping out the other side (China maybe?) and he ends up on top of a rocket taking off which destroys him exiting earths atmosphere. Phew! That was a lot….
Yeah, I have a crazy imagination. Mark could be a lizzed person, or some other cryptid-hybrid mutation. (I wonder what he was like before the dark side took over?) Oh well, it was a funny thought.
