I’m trying to add a material texture to a uv sphere. I also want to use a hdr image for reflection on my material. I’m doing this in Cycles. Neither is rendering. I’m doing this from my memory of previous tutorials, so I am probably forgetting something.
Also ensure you pack your textures in your blend file (File / External Data menu) before saving your file so you’re not the only person who can actually see your textures !

I thought I had clicked automatically pack into .blend After reading your post, I went back and realized it is the cube inside the uv sphere that needs the material.
