Material masking/mixing weirdness

I was just messing around with different things in blender and i noticed a weird problem with my materials, if i added a transparent object between the camera and the “character”

my object seems to loose its mask mixing, tried all kinds of stuff, z and ray transparent with thickness and just a simple plane… outcome still same, that’s so weird never happened to me before:eek:
