material property

This may belong somewhere else but I think game makers may have more insight to this problem. I bounce back and forth from Blender 2.7 and 2.49 to use the Openflight exporter. One of the problems is the broken “texture face” attribute when going back to 2.49. Each object must have its texture re-added to the mesh faces. Once this property is set in 2.49 the object maintains it attribute even when going back up to 2.71 and back down to 2.49. So I was wondering if I could set this in a custom property in 2.71 which 2.49 would recognize as its “texture face” flag.
