Material study: FDM 3D print

I used procedural vector displacement to emulate a lot of the extruder behavior found in 3D prints.
The main feature of the study is the wall and fill lines. Each layer of filament is outlined by some number of wall strokes, which follow the contour of the layer. The layers are then filled in by cross-hatching strokes, which follow cardinal directions, rather than the shape of the layer.

There are some artifacts from the micro-displacement, but overall I think it turned out quite realistic!
