Mathmetical formula or algorithm for a path in Blender

Hello,

In blender there are bezier curves, nurb curves and paths.

Does anyone know what mathmetical formula or algorithm Blender uses for a path?

The actually share the same name but:

  • NurbsCurves do have the options Active Spline: Order U: 4
  • (Nurbs)Paths have Active Spline: Order U: 5 and enabled endpoint U … (doubleing the endpoints to get to them)

So they are both Non-uniform rational B-splines…
