Pythagoras scene made with Gimp and Blender.

Working on a calculator to add to the scene

no… no…! NOO!!! IT BRINGS BACK PAINFUL, PAINFUL MEMORIES!

Good render though

what’s going on with the paper on the left edges, there are some weird embossed-looking bits?

The protractor is too low poly.

Also, the writing looks done on a computer. Use stroke smoothing if done in GIMP.

Is the method “37² + 32² = 1369” then find the square root of 1369? I just hope I can still do these!

(I’m 14)

Hi Kemmler. It’s a texture from CGtextures with slight shadow under the holes to simulate depth. How would I fix this so that there’s just a hole in the plane?

Thanks.

I’ll subsurf it! And thanks for that tip with the stroke smoothing. I’ll see what I can do!

Nearly! That’s the method for finding the length of the longest side (hypotenuse).

For the side with the question mark you need to Find the difference of the square of two lengths and then find the square root of that.
