Maximum Color Depth Achieveable...

Hello all,

I have delved into the world of print where I am reminded that color depth is not limited to the 24-bit pallete I have here on my monitor and wondered, what is blenders max color depth?

In this case I wonder because I would like to try some large format - high color work with blender , but I can find no indication that it can keep up with film!

Does anyone know if 16, 24, or 32 bits per channel can be had in blender as it can in cinepaint http://cinepaint.sourceforge.net/ ?

Just curious.

Thanks,
Matt

standard color depth for rendering is 24 bit, with alpha channel it’s 32 bit (standard computer values, 8 bit per channel)

don’t know if Blender renders with more bits per channel, that’s a question for the coders
