Maya and point cache

I have been looking all over the web for any kind of instructions as to how I can import point cache (or more specifically point cache 2) files into Maya.

I have found a lot of people doing so for 3DS Max, and they always seem to mention that they “think” Maya can import these files as well.

I have a point cache exporter for Blender and have exported an animation as a point cache 2 file as well as the object being animated as an OBJ.

Any help would be very useful!
