Hi,
Is there a Maya like transform constraint (edge) in Blender?
No, I’m not talking about rigging.

Sadly, the answer is no.
These modelling constraints (face/edge) are being missed dearly in Blender. And the ability to use them with soft selections.
You’ll have to wing it with the slide tool instead. Not pretty.
Thanks for the confirmation.
Looking forward to its implementation in the future.
I’m sure Blender will get there as there are a lot of migrators from Maya/3DS Max.
Well I have been with Blender for 4 years now (coming from 3ds max) and am not aware of any attempts to bring these tools over. Strangely all sorts of features are ported but these (basics, IMO) are being glossed over.
It might be that they are usually hard to demonstrate - people link a video showing one application of the constraints like you just did and the community here will come up with a workaround for that specific case.
But I suppose you may be right, that the influx of more people from the Autodesk crowd may raise awareness.
