Meca-Mondo

Hi

I finally finished this picture :o. This is a personal work which I could test the sculpts and compositing in Blender. As usual, the placement and rendering is done in Blender. The building is made with Sketchup and retouching with Photoshop and PainTools.
I hope you will like it.

Wow - this is brilliant

Amazing stuff!!

OMG, how something like this is even possible?! I feel so small

Is the atmospheric coloring done through post process or volumetric lighting? or both? Absolutely stunning, beautiful

Awesome work.

A wallpaper version is the only thing lacking.

That is absolutely amazing. All Blender? What was the steps taken in Post?

That is an awesome render.Your architecture as an idea is perfect.Congratulations.

Great work!

Hi

thank you. glad you like this picture

Shilbazz : the atmospheric coloringest done with the lights (spot + halo volumetric) and compositing in blender. very little photoshop for that

Daren : The basic architecture was model in SketchUp and then retouched in blender. the characters are done in Blender and rendered in blender . Some lights have been added PaintTool. ^^

Gosh - I would love to get my hands on that blend file. I would like to use it in my film – (see my signature) any chance you’d be willing to pass it on (all I can offer is your name in the credits REALLY BIG)

Really really good, I love it.

Looks like something from the Star Wars universe (complete with robed Imperialists), I like the sense of scale and the general ambiance. The detail also really adds to the image’s science-fiction feel.

Good work.

Hi, good idea and nice work!

Man, You are freaking awesome!

You have given me a great sense of what blender can do…although I kinda knew from watching the blender open movies…wow

Excellent! And may actually represent our future if we need more room up in the air. Great details. Would like to see something in the foreground too, the image is all background.

WOW! I love gargantuan sci-fi craziness like this!

It does look really very good. I kind of thought the structures were bigger until I saw the characters. Anyway, exceptionally great work!
