Cool! nice modelling you got there!

I like the design but something seem weird.

The leg design don,t look very solid. Compare to the body, I don,t think the arm would be enough to “counter-balance” the weight of the torso (well there is suppose to be an engine in that+everything else). For that kind of mech I would suggest to make an inverted leg style. Instead of having it like “human leg” have the knee the other way… so it’s like that:

wow, quite detailed looking thing… I see lot of centerpoints there, meaning lot of parenting if you are going to animate it… good luck :slight_smile:

oh, and I hope this one too will have one of those nice flower-tattoos, like mechs usually have around here…

WOW! that’s a hell of a lot of detail you put into that. looks great. :slight_smile: I agree about the leg problem though. this guy looks like he might fall over pretty easily.

as for a tatoo, how about “MOM” in a heart? :wink:

Being a newbie, I’m cutting my teeth on a mech of my own. I was pretty proud of it until I saw this one. Blast you for dashing my budding hopes and showing me how LONG I’ve still got to go!

Modeling a mechwarrior isn’t so impossible as it looks, but it’s the textureing, and setting up the materials, and a more difficult part is to animate the mech. :smiley:

the texture on the arm is procedural also? can you point me out which procedural you used? (plugin?)

Only thing that seem weird is the “knee”…I don,t know…it don’t like like the legs could “rotate” that that…:S

and I know I’m being picky :stuck_out_tongue: but the “neck” could’t support that big head :stuck_out_tongue: hehe

Yeah, I used the r_brick plugin for the arms, the T_brick texture is supposedly the better of the two, but it will not map correctly…

Anyway, both texture plugins are here:
