Mecha walker WIP

Just something I work on in my spare time. Been trying to figure how to give independent motion to the head and weapons. Added a textured plane so you can realize its moving. Move with the arrows. A & D rotate the head. W should rotate the weapons, but it all gets messy.

Looks good, but its got one major glitch:

When the guns are in place, and you rotate the ā€˜headā€™, everything works fine, but if you move the guns a bit and then rotate the head, they start turning in the wrong direction! :eek: (Iā€™m sure you can sort this out though)

My only suggestion would be this:

Try slowing down the rotation speed, at the moment it turns way to fast for something which (i assume) is quite heavy!

keep working at it and sort out that glitch! and it should be very good! :wink:

actually, yes problem. My Blender crashes when I try to exit the game. Will try to copy what you did and see what happensā€¦ what version & system did you open it with?

I used 2.44 and my blender crashed too if i pressed Esc

uhm, is it a bug?

you canā€™t rotate your cannons right because they are deforming acoording to the armature. you need some way to make them independant of the armature, like vertex parenting
