mecha wip [update 2] [image heavy post]

Hey everyone. Here’s a mecha I’m working on. Modelled in Blender, exported with latest YableX, and rendered with Yafray.

No texturing yet, and is as of yet very incomplete.

I haven’t really looked into the funny streaks underneath the joint of the leg into the body (sphere) and the lower leg. I’m still very new at Yafray (and Blender, for that matter), so if those streaks are something glaringly obvious just gimme a shout.

Ok, I’m just getting the hand of shaders in yaf. I added some to the model, just for fun.

Here’s another update. The body doesn’t make much sense without texturing (or shading, I’m not sure what the right word is). Also have to work on the knee joint and add some more stuff.

Here’s some texturing, just for fun. It suddenly looks hopelessly hopeless :|. Maybe I’ll completely rework the legs :P. And the front of the body.

Wow, looks real mech like! Very nice!

Nice. I can’t do this sort of modeling…I can never think of enough detail to put in to the model.

Hey! Thanks :D. I’m not sure how to use textures with yaf, so I’ll probably use procedurals.
