Median Point Messed Up?

Hi guys,

Quick question.

I have a model, and the “median point” for it is way across the grid…

There are no verts, edges or faces anywhere near the median point.

The median point would usually be right in the center, correct?

How can I get the median point back into regular position?

The median point is the little blue dot in the center of objects, right? Because that’s what’s off.

Thanks,

Jon

The objects origin can be anywhere you need it to be (not always in the centre of your mesh)
Shift+Ctrl+Alt+C or the ‘Origin’ button in the toolshelf (as well as entry in the 3dview menu) will give you options as to what you want to do with the center. Center to geometry may be what you need.
