Medusa

Hi everyone!

Medusa’s story is a bit different. I used 3dsmax for about 16 years and finally decided to try Blender. Like everyone else, I watched some tutorials (including Donut) and some hardsurface tutorials. 2 weeks after learning the tools and some plugins, I decided to test myself with a car design. I finished it in 1 week (Excluding Racing seat and Steering wheel) with modelling, texturing and some renders. The fact that the process was so short shocked me a bit. I knew that my previous experience would shorten the learning process, but I did not expect this much. That`s why i fall in love with blender

Great model! I like that the slight asymmetry makes it more interesting and realistic.

I really like it.
The first images seems a photo and not a render…or am I missing something?
As training model I think you did a great job in a ral good time.
I think that you can actually consider yourself as a trained Blender user and not a beginner.

How do you realize the real model? Is it 3d printed? Do you printed it as whole object or do you print object by object? Or what other technique did you use?

Thank you Memm! I always like to design asymmetric vehicles. As you said it makes them more interesting

Thanks marcatore!

Theyre all renders, except the 5th one. Im still working on the Fine Prints and scale models. I just wanted to see how will they look like when I finish the 3D prints. It will be impossible to print my cars as one piece i guess, because they have lots of exterior pieces.

so, the image with the 2 cars inside the glass is a render?
if yes, really well done!!!
As I haven’t opened the image at full resolution, I was thinking it was a photo.

Looks fantastic
I like details and the mood :+1:t2:

Oooof, Awesome.

Wow great modeling

This is a great transition story superbly illustrated. I’d like to hear more impressions on blender. How do you like the shortcuts? Did you customized much?

Just wanted to say the image of the two cars in glass cases had me fooled! I thought that was a photo, not a render, and I think I’m pretty good at spotting what is CGI fake and what is real.

Well done!
Randy

Thank you Randy! Glad you like it:)

Hi, I think this is really good art!
