Mercedes Benz Stirling Moss

This is now my second car.

I’ve decided to model a new car; an exotic sports car
(several million USD and only 75 produced). Since
there are no available blueprints of this car, I will try to not
let that deter me from making a good model.

I have one and a half days of work in this project.

P.S. I’m still fixing my Camaro >>LINK<<but I think
there is little that can be done on “bad mesh”
it’s easier to start a new car.

Four days of work total:

It looks like I have many triangles, but really I just have one on the side.
I know there are some places I need to refine.

Please use constructive criticism. Thanks!

Its shocking how good you have become and so quickly, topology is looking good the are some things you could do different here and there but its solid and a step up from the camaro. But to go up the next level you need to become your most harshest critic.

The are some things on this car that are off not because the topology is bad but because of sloppy modeling grab some photos from the net and go over each panel piece by piece than tweek it to be as exact as you can get it. Don’t let up and be ruthless with yourself.

for example that front piece where the logo goes is circular. tweak or rebuild until its circular pay attention to detail and you will reap the rewards.

@ Tyrant Monkey: Good advice. I was planning to rebuild that before, but I forgot.

Feedback helps me stay focused; and I thank you for that!

Update: I did some of the interior. Still need to refine the exterior.

Looks pretty good ! And it is just your second car .

That is absolutely amazing! I can’t even imagine trying to make something like this. I can’t even make the front of a BMW right. Are you planning to do any renders in Luxrender, indigo, etc?

@ tlehmann, you will get there with lots of hard work! I still have a long way to go.
Someday I want to get Octane or LuxRender (when I get the $).

Luxrender is open-source, so you could use that without paying. (luxrender.net)

LuxRender is also doing some beta’s with gpu acceleration, which is so nice, it cuts your render time down quite a chunk. I can help you get it working if you’re interested.

that is just amazing good attention to detail can’t wait to see the finished product

Never tried Yafaray?
However wonderful project, the details for the interior are sweet. Keep it up!
