Mercedes EQS | Visualisation & Animation

Thrilled to share my latest personal project:

a full CGI visualisation and animation of the Mercedes EQS, created entirely in Blender.

My main focus for this one was mastering those sleek, aerodynamic curves under dramatic studio lighting and nailing a photorealistic paint shader. Animated and rendered using Cycles

Would love to hear your thoughts on the lighting and camera work!

super amazing work .
congrats

would love to know how you controlled the moving lights , and how much time it took to render per frame

i have an RTX 4000 but somehow my cycle renders are taking to long to render in the default settings !

It takes from 1 to 5 minutes per frame. Most of the time I render more frames than are actually needed. I have an RTX 3060.

For lighting, I use Light Wrangler. I really like this add-on because it gives a lot of possibilities for light control. Most of the time I key the start and end frames and use linear interpolation. Sometimes I switch to different interpolation modes depending on what I need and tweak the timing until it feels right. I also render multiple light passes for each light and adjust them with masks.
