I created a cat based on mainly basic meshes which if you look at the image i sort of shoved together. So you would find 2 spheres for the nose pushed into the head sphere.
I added the new meshes in edit mode so if i now select one in object mode, i select them all.
My question is if it’s possible to sort of merge or attach the meshes together in the places they intersect?
Like ‘welding’? I know how i can join 2 objects in object mode, but these are only selectable, say the nose and head sphere, in edit mode. Can i join them from edit mode?
You can select two vertices then press “w” then click “merge” it will give you a list of options to merge them. You can also turn on auto merge editing in the “mesh” menu at the bottom, Then turn on the snap to magnet at the bottom, And the box next to it should be set to vertex (closest), So that when the vertex you’re pulling gets close to another it will snap to it, And when you deselect, It will merge the 2 together.
But there’s no one click way to do it really, You’re going to have to edit your mesh.
