I know I can select multiple objects in the outliner and hit control J to join them but say I’ve got some of those objects under empties. I can’t simply select the heirarchy and do a join since the empties are included.
In Cinema4D there’s a connect objects command that can merge everything in a heirarchy to a new object with the option to delete the original heirarchy.
What’s the best way to join multiple geo objects that may or may not be under empties?
It’s not clealry visible because the new “empty” ( or null object ?) Null.1 seems to have no enfoldable tree ?? And i guess you mean also thats the empty/null object Null, Null.1, Null,2, Null.3( there seems also no problem to have two object named Null.1) are not part of the new hierarchy…
AFAIK you can only copy or link (to make no extra copies) the whole hierachy and maybe rearrange the parenting… (and maybe delete the original object/hierarchy) in blender…
( Also a bit funny to see the “new” C4D GUI… i used it a bit a loooooongg time ago… (when there was the simple mid and pro version ) and now i almost confused it with blender )
@demafleez Join is still possible and the right thing, just make sure that your active object is an object after “Select hierarchy”. The empties will be skipped in the process.
