Mesh Collision

Do we have anything like this in Blender?
I’m not even sure if mesh collision is the right term or not, but the paper clarifies it pretty well.

By the way, the link goes to a PDF doc on Pixar’s website.

I think the closest thing to that in Blender would be Soft bodies. Soft bodies used to be the main way of making cloth in Blender, until 2.46 added cloth. To see more about soft bodies, visit: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Soft_Bodies

Okay, I could probably use that. I think I’ll have to use vertex groups so only parts are soft bodies, but that should work. Thanks!

If you want some inspiration, there are several youtube videos with soft bodies. Here is one that is a Tutorial for collisions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxZ20h8uc_s
