Mesh misplaced after armature deform

Im pretty new to riggin and hit a snare lately, after I parent the armature “automatic with weights” my mesh misplaces away from the rig rotaded and all. what did I do wrong?

Your mesh and armature need to have the same origin, and you probably also need to apply all Transforms on both. Select them in Object Mode, press Ctrl A, and choose All Transforms. Then press Shift S, Cursor to World Origin, and then Set Origin to Cursor on both (I forget where that is, F3 it)

Then reparent
