At first I thought; Yet another fluid test. Then I understood what wetmaps meant. AWESOME  :RocknRoll:

This is looking very cool!

Very cool!

I hope this one and his smoke patch will go into trunk.

I’m playing with the smoke patch now
awesome!

There was a mention about painting with particles in the Youtube commentaries. I believe that painting with particles is already possible. So wet maps for SPH shouldn’t be that hard to do I think.

That looks awesome, a very handy feature to have. Any word on when/ if this will be committed to any builds? (I don’t know how to compile my own versions or use patches)

nice stuff !!
i wish we see this official .

Good development. Thanks for all your efforts Miika.

Awesome, with this feature I can wet my pants without actually getting excited!

Go Miikah, go go go!

not sure, how does it work, but looks like it can be used also for foot prints in a snow or dust, or wheel tracks in a sand. Looking forward. Thanks

And it can be used for “Multicolor painting on an animated object” (new blog post)

Yay, nice to see someone’s actually interested in my work. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, that’s one thing on my todo list. Make it able to calculate smooth depth / displacement maps too. So you could use it for cool snow interaction and such.

Heh, just watched the latest video. Looks like you’re having fun with it

Well that was pretty amazing! Love the wiping glass too.

When will be ready to use?

I see so many uses for this! Awesome!

When will be ready to use?

Answer:

However, this project is still in very early stage so there is no downloadable build or patch available anytime soon. All depends on how much time I have and if I manage to keep motivated.

Very cool. Is this renderfarm safe? i.e. does it allow rendering arbitrary frames, not in sequence?

I think it works by creating a sequence of images (wetmaps), so each frame is a image file.
