Is there anything in the Blender world that does good automatic LOD generation. Something comparable to Simplygon or UE5?
The mesh reduction tools in Blender are not very good by modern standards. Limited Dissolve is about as good as it gets. That’s quadric mesh reduction, which tries to minimize the error volume. It doesn’t have silhouette protection, and will generate holes or delete outer edges if pushed too hard.

Too much detail for games. All edges are beveled. Mesh reduction should be smart enough to first remove the bevels and sharpen the edges, and finally reduce the whole model to a cube. Is there anything for Blender capable of doing that?
