Mesh to a solid-filled object????

Is there a way to make an object that has been spun (the top and bottom have been closed) into a solid object? I’m using the explode modifier on it and when it breaks apart, you can tell that it’s not a solid object. Any tips?

To the best of my knowledge, there’s no way to do exactly what you want. There’s an idea on BlenderStorm that would accomplish this; click here.

This is not the way Blender’s mesh system works. There are no solids.
