Mesh UV painting not working right.

I have my model made and seams marked but the mesh doesn’t unpack well. I tried exporting and painting it in Photoshop anyway but doesn’t apply like it should. What am I doing wrong?

It could be because of double geometry (edit mode, select all, W -> remove doubles) but can’t confirm that or look for other possible causes without the .blend.

It was the Normals. All fixed.
