Meshes glitching into straight lines

This has been happening to me since i got my new laptop, the main body mesh sometimes appears as a straight line with all its vertex locked up in one location, it will switch back to normal if i dissable the subdivision, i already tried deleting the modifier and applying it again but the problem stills there, even in line mode when i dissable or activate stuff like particles it will switch back so i cant figure out the source of this
