I decided to just play with curves and ended up with this after an hour:

It’s simple but I quite like it.

Cool! Very stylized. Sometimes simplicity looks even better than complication and detail.

Thanks
I agree. I spent ages on my WC entry and it’s rubbish. This took an hour and I like it more.
To moderator’s and admin’s, I meant to put this in finished projects. If you could move it there, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is that it? sigh I was hoping for some comments. 55 views and 1 comment. I thought a few at least might like this one. Ah well, I still hope to hear some more comments and crits, so if you have any, please do share them :
well here we go.
I like youre materials and the swooshies.
I don’t like the compostion, but I guess you didn’t spend a lot of time adjusting it.
the swooshies, are they made puurely with curves, or are they subsurfed as well, cause they look pretty smooth…
Yeah, they are curves converted to meshes then extruded and subsurfed. I’m sorry for the noobie question but what do you mean by the composition? Thanks for the comments.

looks something like a Nike ad %|
sorry…
i think the blue and white “nike-thingies” should be put a little more to the left …the monkey feels too crowded in this setting
Any better?
The first post has been updated with the new pic. C + C welcome still.

I like it. But I don’t think the color on Suzane’s face looks right. Mabey if her face was blue or silvery. But it looks nice.
Thanks. I just randomly allocated the three colours on the “swooshies” to the face. I think I’ll leave it like it is, but thanks for the comments.
Any more?

Simple yet effective. Looks like wallpaper material.
My only complaint is that the background could have a smoother color transition. I find it annoying as it is.
Thanks for the comments. What do you recommend as a background? I figured that the style of this is simplistic, so I went with a simplistic background. What do you recommend as a background?

A clouds texture with light colors would look nice i think. And the swooshies and monkey shadows on the background would look too good
Actually, I kindof like Suzane’s face colors … of course blue and orange is my favorite complimentary color pair. It’s currently even the colors of my windows (dark blue windows with orange title bars)!
Thanks for the comments euronando and waffler. I’ll try the cloud background and put the shadows in. Thanks.
