Hi, i was just messing with Blender and i copied a basic cube with controls and pasted it into Render so that two things are happening on different scenes.
Added a always sensor for overlay scene of same thing in BGE for Render but with an empty for a cube to drop in a smoke domain in hopes that it will show smoke and overlay smoke effect in BGE but it didn’t happen.
I’ve never seen anyone doing it in tutorials and i was just thinking is Blender actually allowing such a trick? Yes or no? Or Yes? Or no? Or Yes no?
no bge does not support smoke simulation. smoke is a very complex fluid simulation that can not be calculated in real time.
for smoke in bge you want to use transparent planes (with alpha) that look like smoke/fire/splashes, like in every other game engine. for the simplest you add the particles, give them a movement, and make it so that they are ended after a certain time (seconds), like in 2d games. particles usually have halo activated in the material tab or some other method of always looking at the camera.
Cool… Ty.
