Hi,
How do you assign a Meta Object to the new particle system in Blender 2.46
In other words, how do you make an object into a particle.
In version 2.45, you just make the Emitter the parent and the Meta Object the child then you turn on Dupliverts.
But this doesn’t seem to work in 2.46.
I’m trying to get various Meta Balls emitted as particles and then have them merge into globules.

Create a cube, add a particle system to it.
Under the Visualization TAB select object and then type the name of your object in the OB field.
Now your particles are that object. Frankly it is not much use as of now because you can not control the way the object faces along a path. But it may be usefull for generic items like snowflakes and baseballs (ie objects where orientation may not matter).
