Are there any good metaball tutorials out there.
Or is metaball modeling a good way to go anymore?
it really depends on what you want to do (and if you computer can take the burden). Metaballs are great for modelling organics. You can just make the general shapes with metaballs than convert to mesh for tweaking and texturing.
