Unfortunately your site is disappointing : nothing to read in the making of section Can’t wait to understand how you make so perfect particles systems, I had to watch it twice to really believe it !
i’ve finished writing and uploaded a quick and dirty making of mindfields.
you can find it at the Making Of section on the site: http://www.artificial3d.com/mindfields/
i tried to answer most of your questions. i hope it’s clear enough since english isnt my native language. just reply here if you’ve got more detailed questions.
unfortunatelly i’m going on holidays for 2 weeks and i cant reply here and answer your questions. but i’ll do so when i come back…
I’m trying to make some particle here at the moment
it look good now,but I can’t succeed at getting the light effect at the front. This blue/white light. You said you used 2 halo material with blend texture, but I can’t get the effect to work. Could we have a bit more tips on that plz?
Yes, I agree with everyone.
I finally got a chance to watch it,
and I am truly awed.
The story is presented very well.
I did read a little about it before,
about what a “mindfield” is supposed
to be, but the story was still presented
well. In contrast, Cyan Sun’s story was
presented very poorly. Don’t get me
wrong, Cyan Sun had good CG, but
even having the story spelled out
word for word before-hand, it still
is one of those that is trying to be
“deep” and is just nonsense.
(again though, I really liked Cyan
Sun.)
Anyway, Mindfields was amazing; truly.
I must apologize for the patheticly
slow servers I am using. The faster
one got the 4gigs of bandidth run up
in one and a half days, so I had to
move the short to the unlimited banidth
ones… Sorry about that.
@ndy, you already know what i think from our conversations, but still, it looks awsome… give me particlke tutorials now… give me grass tutorials now, give me life tutorials now!
Show this at siggraph to showcase blenders efficency!
