I am trying to mirror an object but the top and bottom vertices are not connecting, I have merge and clipping on and it still does this and I’ve done all the remove doubles, recalculate, and flip normals on this and nothing is working.
Put it on top of subsurf and check that mirror merge distance is more than 0.
did that too… and distance was more… I extruded it back and then it was hidden from front view but it was still not connected
Select the middle edges, activate the clipping on the Mirror modifier and pull towards the middle. That will do the trick… Of course, the Mirror modifier must be before the Subsurf modifier.
Ok then, let’s continue guessing game with ctrl+a -> scale in object mode
