Hello, the mirror tool to mirror edits across an axis doesn’t work for one of my meshes. But for some reason seems to work for another in the same scene. I’ve tried positioning the mesh at the center axes. Moving the origin around within and outside the mesh. Snapping to symmetry.
One thing that does work is to add a mirror modifier to the mesh from the wrench menu but this generates a double mesh inside the original mesh and it makes it harder to work.
If you could provide some snapshots, or better yet, the .blend file, it would be much easier to figure out the problem.
you can solve your ‘double mesh’ issue by deleting half of the mesh while the mirror modifier is active.
note that usually its better to mirror with the mirror modifier, rather then the mirror tool, as the latter could have unexpected results.
