Mirrored particle hair acting wierd

Hey everyone

So lately I’ve been doing a Blender Cookie tutorial by David Ward on making a Ground Hog, but I’ve been having some trouble with the particle hair. In one part of the tutorial, he shows how to mirror the hair. I’m having some trouble with it, though, because every time I try to mirror the particles, the mirrored ones look very odd once rendered. Here it is:

Any help would be appreciated

I think I know what the problem is  I did David Ward’s Tim tutorial and it happened to me too! Try moving the particle modifier below the sub division or multi-resolution modifier  Hope this helps!

That isn’t the problem :frowning: I tried it earlier, but it didn’t work. If you look, it looks fine on one side of it. It’s only the side that I mirrored that looks bad. Thanks for replying, though

Did you work this problem out? I’m going crazy with it. Normals are fine… modifier stack is ok. No mesh mirror. :S
