Missing a renderlayer when using RGBA

Hi There,

I made a scene with two renderlayers. One with 3 planes with a movie on it and the second one with glowing streaks.

When rendering the scene with RGBA, because I need to overlay it on a movie in FCP, only the first layer shows up in the rendered file. But they both show up in the renderwindow of Blender. As when using only RGB I get to see both layers rendered well in the rendered file. I tried Animation, H264 and TIFF they all gave the same result.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot, Twan

to make things more clear, because i’m sure someone has had the same problem as i have, i posted 2 pics.

The only difference is the RGBA vv RGB setting

Someone with a brilliant idea?

Thanks a lot, Twan

I dont know but have you actually combined them together in the compositor???im not sure

I geuss so because otherwise i wouldnt have the 2 layers when using RGB…

Here’s my node-setup:

another idea is adding another renderlayer containing both “objects” and using that alpha to add to the final composite node…(just an idea)

If you dont mind… but may i download the file and check it out myself???
