I’ve been looking all morning for a solution to this. I have Blender 2.6 and the Grease Pencil tab is missing. I can draw, but I can’t do anything else with it. I heard that the grease pencil could be used to convert to mesh objects and so I thought that would be very useful, but no grease pencil tab…

you find the grease pencil in the 3d view’s N sidebar
