Check this setting to see if you changed it to 3D cursor or something else. It might also just be a problem file. I had it happen to me once where it just disappeared.

…or check Show Gizmo (it’s next to Viewport Overlays, top right corner).
Apparently, hotkey is Ctrl + `
Might have turned off by accident.
