Mixamo loses shape keys. Can this be prevented?

Hi,
I’ve got all of these great shape keys that come with a program called FaceGen. I then use drivers to map this to mocap’d facial movements. I then use Mixamo for the body movements. However, loading an fbx with shapekeys into Mixamo now causes those shape keys to be removed. Is there any other process, workflow or format I can use to ensure they are not?

Not through Mixamo…as an option…but one way would be to keep one version and send to Miximo, then after you add the armature on export, export without skin…then on your saved copy import the new fbx. and parent to the mesh…another way is to open a new blend and import the fbx rig, then save as a blend file then new, and open your original, and append the rig you just saved…still have to add a armature modifier and parent the rig.

the first option you mentioned was the best. Unfortunately, mixamo handles the collision of clothing better than Blender but it’s a good workaround. Not ‘solved’ but close.

You can transfer vertex weights via transfer data modifier (or just operator) from mixamo skin to original mesh
