So i need to add a musgrave and then add noise on the white areas of the musgrave. now i know how to do that, musgrave in factor and noise in mixrgb color 1… but how do i add color?
i know i can add any color on color 2, but i want two different colors. like the black parts should be deep yellow-browish and the light parts with noise to be light yellow.
not sure i can do 2 colors with one mix rgb like that
Musgrave can go below 0 and above 1 as well. I think the best might be to use a Mix RGB, maybe set to Multiply and keep the Musgrave as a factor, then multipy the Noise with black of course. You can just simply use Mix as well ofc, maybe it won’t make a difference for your plans.
Then you simply add a Colour ramp I guess and pick your colours. There you can use Constant option as well if you don’t want in-between colours
It is difficult to know the exact effect you are after, but you should be able to do it with the colour mix node using the musgrave as factor as you planned.
As AgentTuron said you will probably want to clamp your mask a bit using a colour ramp, so that the black is black and white white, either with the constant colour option or the stops pretty close to each other.
Also, to add, using a math node “greater(or less) than”, either of those, you can simply clamp and harden the musgrave islands.
You can pick your colours any time if younhit “E” over the color part of the ramp, and then click and maybe drag your mouse anywhere
I usually open an image in the viewer and pick colours from there.
If you wish, please elaborate what the actual plan is, so we can assist you more in-depth.
